The Minera flamenco company

Compagnie Minera explores the crossovers that naturally form around flamenco, bringing together artists from different cultural and musical backgrounds. After experimenting with the traditional guitar/dance duo in a light touring form between 2016 and 2018, the core of the company is formed by Assuntina Gessa and Csaba Ökrös. Depending on the show, the company surrounds itself with musicians from jazz or Latin music backgrounds, as well as artists from contemporary dance and other disciplines.

The Minera Nueva show

The Minera Nueva show revives the link between jazz and flamenco, and partially emancipates itself from traditional instruments. Between revisiting traditional pieces and original compositions, the show revolves around narratively expressive dance, deep, husky vocals, and the sensitive, eloquent guitar, which expresses itself as a modern echo of the traditional cante.
